Course Credit

This course combines the concepts learned in previous introductory Networking courses, with the Network Design initiatives taught in MIT 642. Students will work in pre-determined groups, on a project that will administer the frist four phases of the Network Design process on an existing network design, using a local business within the community as the design template or sponsor. The project involves research, verification, documentation and design, in varying degrees of complexity. Students will analyze an existing network infrastructure to determine the user and business requirements, and following that analysis will design a suitable upgrade providing detailed documentation and diagrams, in support of all decisions.
