The Veterinary Technician Program is dedicated to teaching, learning and giving many animals a second chance at finding new, loving homes. Through education and hands-on learning, our students are able to improve many animal lives. Students, staff and the community are invited to adopt animals from our facility when the animals have been temperament tested and examined for medical concerns.

Our adoptable dogs  have had the following medical and health treatments:

  • Heartworm check
  • Vaccinations
  • Parasite Check and Deworming
  • Spay/Neuter (depending on age and condition)

Our adoptable cats  have had the following medical and health treatments:

  • Vaccinations
  • Parasite Check and Deworming

We have many repeat customers and we strive to make sure that the animal you choose will fit your lifestyle and family.

The viewing of animals is by appointment only!

If a potential adopter is interested in one of the pets, they must email Betsy Wismer with their information.

This is who is looking for a new home this month:

Dogs

Breed: Husky

Colour: White/Silver

Age: 1 Years Old

Gender: Male (Neutered)

My name's Balto and I'm an adorable 1-year-old, white/silver husky. I'm up to date on my vaccines, neutered and ready for adoption!

An important thing to know about me is that I am deaf, please don't let this scare you off! I'm very smart and attentive and have learned to sit, stay, off and down through sign language.

I'm great on walks and I love to play with the students. I will need a home with a fenced-in yard to keep me safe and someone with a moderate-to-active lifestyle.

Breed: Bluetick Hound Mix

Age: 3 Years Old

Gender: Male

Harvey is a 3-year-old male hound mix with gorgeous blue tick markings. He's timid but once he's comfortable he is so goofy and just wants to play. He is an absolute sweetheart and would love to cuddle during a quiet night in.

He likes to run around and give the students hugs when in an environment he's familiar with. The most important thing for Harvey is a home in that he feels safe and comfortable.

It will take time and will require lots of patience, he needs this to come out of his shell. Once he does, Harvey is the most loving, carefree, and hilarious pup you will ever meet.
