Students will learn a straightforward practical approach to bookkeeping and the analysis of financial reports specific to hospitality operations. Learning standard accounting and hospitality-specific financial terminology will provide students with foundation needed to accurately prepare and interpret various reports types. Emphasis will be on the role accurate financial reports and analysis play in the success of hospitality operations. Students will learn the basic applications of spreadsheet software in the preparation of management reports for accommodations and food and beverage operations.
