In this course students will complete a set of working drawings for a Commercial Building. Students will use Computer Aided Design software to generate Topographic Site Details, Foundation / Floor & Roof Plans, Elevations, Schedules and Section Details. Topics covered in the lecture will include structural steel erection, concrete footings, unit masonry walls and interior/exterior finishes. The role of the Ontario Building Code and applicable Zoning by-laws will be considered in the design of the project. Both SI and Imperial units will be introduced from specification data, but SI will be the dominate standard.
