Social Activities | St. Clair College

The Retirees’ Association offers a number of social activities throughout the year. Some are offered on a regular basis and others are a one-time event. The newsletter and the Calendar of Events will list the activities.

Winter Trip

In January, a one week all-inclusive trip to either the Caribbean or Mexico.

Theatre Outing

Usually in the spring, an all-day outing to a theatrical event. In the past, trips have included Stratford, St. Jacob's, London, Chatham and Petrolia.

Annual Meeting

Held in May, most recently in the meeting room at the Sportsplex at South Campus. In addition to a business meeting, refreshments are also offered.

Fall Social

Held most recently at the Sportsplex at the South Campus, shortly before school starts.

Winery Tour

Visit an Essex County Winery in October, with wine tasting, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.

Christmas Lunches

The Windsor lunch is held in early to mid-December, most recently at the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts. The Thames lunch is traditionally held at the CountryView Golf Course in Chatham.

Bridge Club

Held every second Tuesday at the Roseland Golf and Curling Club. Must register with Dean Campagna, 519-966-3884 or email him at

Thames Luncheon

The Thames retirees hold a lunch at the end of most months with a guest speaker.

The Retirees are also welcome to attend the President's Christmas Brunch in December and the Staff Appreciation Day in June. Both events are held at the South Campus.
