St. Clair College Respiratory Therapy students have been granted early licences, as they are placed into action in the fight against COVID-19.

Windsor, Ontario - St. Clair College will be delivering equipment from its Health Sciences programs to local hospitals as the healthcare institutions prepare for the possibility of an increase in patients requiring treatment for COVID-19.

The health and safety of our students are of paramount concern to St. Clair College.  Following consultations with local and provincial public health experts, St. Clair College will require staff, faculty, students, contractors and campus visitors to be fully vaccinated this Fall.

One St. Clair College staff member has tested positive for COVID-19 at the Main Campus in South Windsor.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has identified a single case of a student with COVID-19 at St. Clair College, affecting a class the student attended on January 20, 2021.

St. Clair College is working with the Public Health Unit as they investigate the details and assess the level of risk.

With St. Clair College planning to start online classes March 23, we are pleased to hear Canadian Telecommunication companies will provide assistance to their customers in response to COVID-19.

Bell, Rogers and Telus are waiving extra usage fees for all residential Internet customers for a period of time.

Windsor Regional Hospital has reached an agreement with St. Clair College to transform the school’s SportsPlex – a stand-alone athletic facility on the main campus – into a field hospital for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The agreement provides WRH with the additional space it needs to accommodate in case there is a surge of patients with COVID-19.
