Chana Masala
Chana Masala

Our very own Chef Carmine Incitti will be serving his unique creations to the crowds this weekend at the Outdoor Food Hall, located at the Ottawa Street Lanspeary Park rink.

Chef Incitti, an executive chef at the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts, has created three unique dishes: Pizza Arancini Balls, Chana Masala, and Turtles Cheesecake.

The pizza arancini balls are made up of rice balls, deep-fried in a delectable panko crust, topped with shredded pepperoni, green bell peppers, mozzarella cheese, and laid on a bed of tomato basil sauce. It’s a dish inspired by the vocal pizza scene in Windsor, according to Chef Incitti.

The Chana Masala is an Indian dish made of chickpeas, cooked in a variety of Indian spices. Chef Incitti made it unique by including a homemade yogurt sauce and topped it with vegetable samosas, making the dish entirely vegetarian.

For dessert, Chef Incitti created a Turtles cheesecake. This creation consists of vanilla cheesecake, chocolate sauce, caramel, and candied pecans to simulate the actual chocolate candy. Every part of this dish is made from scratch by Chef Incitti.

The Outdoor Food Hall event will be held at the Lanspeary Park outdoor arena, on Ottawa Street, November 12, between Noon and 8 p.m. To promote social distancing and safe interaction, tables will be spaced out while transactions will be cashless using mobile devices.

Other local and out-of-town vendors will be featured at this event, with mulled wine and hot apple cider served in house at a stand.

The Outdoor Food Hall is being sponsored by St. Clair College Alumni Association and the concept for the Outdoor Food Hall was created by WindsorEats owner Adriano Ciotoli, an Alumni of Distinction at St. Clair College.
