(Windsor, Ontario) – St. Clair College soccer player Robert Malbasic will be enshrined in the Ontario College Athletic Association Hall of Fame in a ceremony on May 8th hosted at the Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport. Malbasic will be the 23rd athlete in St. Clair’s history to be inducted into the OCAA’s Hall of Fame and will be part of a class of 15 athletes from across the association to be included this year. The bi-annual event will also induct five builders and five coaches this year.

Malbasic played for 5 seasons for the Saints from 2007 to 2011. He ended his career, and still is, the OCAA career goal scoring leader with 55 goals. He scored those goals in 46 regular season games. Robert had a huge year in his rookie season of 2007. He scored 12 goals in 8 games and a was named an OCAA All Star, OCAA West Rookie of the Year, OCAA West and League Scoring Champion and a CCAA All Canadian.

Malbasic was also named an OCAA All Star in 2008 and 2009. During his career with the Saints he helped lead the Saints to two Final Four appearances. He was also the West and League scoring Champion in 2009 and was the West scoring Champion in 2011.

Robert received his Pre-Health Science certificate and also is a graduate of the Practical Nursing Program at St. Clair.
