Womens softball new players

(Windsor, Ontario) - The St. Clair College Women’s Softball team is gearing up for another fall season with some new players who could help them compete for a Provincial and National Championship.

5’4” Jenna Hillman (Tecumseh, ON/Tecumseh Vista Academy) is back home after playing two years at Humber College (Etobicoke). Hillman is a career 0.410 hitter in the OCAA from the left side with good speed and will use her slick fielding ability at second base or shortstop for the Saints. She is a former baseball player and competed at the Canada Games for Team Ontario. Hillman will be studying Community & Justice Services in the classroom.

6’0” Kim Mouroun (Belle River, ON/Belle River District) is another transfer of sorts having played basketball at the University of Windsor that contributed to two of their OUA and U Sports Championships. The former Royal Arcanum winner is a gifted athlete in a variety of sports but played softball for the Windsor Wildcats organization. Moroun is enrolled in the Paramedic program at St. Clair having completed a Human Kinetics degree already. She will play either first base to utilize her height but can move to shortstop to showcase her strong arm. Moroun will be a force at the plate also hitting from both sides with the potential for a high average.

5’7” Lauryn Schram (Windsor, ON/St. Joseph’s) will slip behind the dish for St. Clair with considerable ease giving depth to the catching position with her strong defensive skills. She recently won a Silver Medal at the Midget National Championships with the Windsor Wildcats. Schram will begin her Collaborative Nursing program academically this fall.
