Students will learn about the history of welding and welding technology. Students will learn about advancements in welding techniques and technology as it pertains to industry, in both manual and robotic welding. The welding industry is changing rapidly and so are the demands for its workers. Students will be introduced to current employer expectations for recruitment, interviews, apprenticeship, journeyperson, and management. Students will also discuss and explore the opportunities for self-employment in the welding field.
