The student will be introduced to basic medical terminology, as well as the fundamental principals of pharmacology and pharmacodynamics. The student will be introduced to basic action on the body of a variety of drug classifications including: medications affecting the autonomic nervous system and central nervous system, medications affecting the musculoskeletal system and medications used in the treatment of diseases of the ophthalmic and otic systems.
