This classroom-setting course introduces the student to the proper techniques, procedures and practical skills required to work in the Horticultural Industry. Emphasis will be placed upon greenhouse, nursery and interior plantscape production and maintenance. Identification and study of a list of horticultural crops will be carried out. Small equipment, general-use tools and trade materials will be introduced. Health and safety practices and procedures related to the profession will also be emphasized.
