As a continuation of Pattern Drafting I, students will progress with building their pattern drafting skills. Emphasis throughout the course will be placed on current industry practices and upon standardizing and achieving a proper fit. Students will create their own bodice and dress designs for which they will draft the patterns and make fit adjustments. Students will continue building their own library of basic fit blocks that will be utilized throughout the course. At completion of this course, students will have gained the knowledge and skills to complete and fit their own patterns for a variety of different bodice and dress styles.
