The goal of this course is to instruct the student in both the theoretical and practical aspects of general operatory procedures, along with intra-oral competencies that are recognized as Level II Dental Assisting skills in Ontario. Students will also explore the expectations of the dental assisting profession and workplace by considering their role as part of the dental team;developing an appreciation for being affiliated with the dental profession and learning how to use a problem-solving approach to deal with conflicts that may arise.
