Structural Analysis & Design | St. Clair College
Course Code
CVL602B
Course Credit
3

This course will examine the behaviour of both statically determinate and indeterminate structures. The effects of both static loading and moving loads will be investigated. By the end of the course, students will be able to graphically and mathematically analyze beams, trusses, cables, arches, and rigid frames. Stresses in building frames from lateral wind loads will be approximated using the Portal and Cantilever Methods. The Moment Distribution Method will be used to investigate indeterminate beam structures.
