This course will provide an in-depth analysis of theoretical, historical and contemporary issues impacting diverse groups in the Canadian Justice System. Topics covered will include issues concerning female, First Nations, Metis, and Inuit peoples as well as other minority offenders within the Canadian criminal justice system. This will include examination of changing social values, and the intersectionality of race and gender as it relates to crime and victimization.
