Advanced Inspection | St. Clair College
Course Code
CAM205
Course Credit
2

This course is designed to introduce students to the capabilities of the Co-ordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), using a computer driven CMM machine and current CMM software. CMMs are advanced inspection tools that are highly accurate and repeatable, used for measuring one or many parts by programming the machine to the part or CAD driven data to produce efficient, high end technical reports. This software enables the detection and evaluation of virtually all the geometry types of a work piece. Students also apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles that have been previously learned when using the CMM machine to enhance quality control.
