Students acquire practical activism and capacity building skills to create and strengthen positive community programs and contribute to community development. Designed to equip students with the assessment, engagement, leadership, and advocacy skills needed to work in the field of social justice in local, national, and global communities. Topics include engaging stakeholders, overcoming negative thinking, understanding different perspectives on community development, and identifying unmet community needs .
