Introduction to the design of structural steel components using the Canadian Limits States Design method and the provisions outlined in both the CSA S16 and CSA-G40.21 Standard for grade 350 steel. By the end of the course, students will be able to perform basic engineering calculations and explain codes, symbols and terminology from the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC) Handbook.
