This course is a continuation of Modeling 2. It expands upon the creation of three dimensional computer models using more advanced techniques and methodologies with nurbs, polygons, and subdivision surfaces. Students are introduced to digital sculpting with a three dimensional sculpting software. Emphasis is placed on developing an understanding of modeling pipelines that take a design through several different software packages to completion. Students create complicated objects using sculpting and displacement and also deal with more complicated surface deformations using procedural modeling, particles, cloth, and dynamics.
